Following last night’s postponement of the show at Ballarat Showgrounds due to severe wind conditions, POWDERFINGER and SILVERCHAIR are pleased to announce that the show will definitely go ahead tonight.
The promoters were yesterday forced to postpone the show after winds caused a 15 metre tear to the roof of the tent.  The promoters and bands would like to thank their hardworking crew who worked throughout last night to fully repair the tent enabling the full show to proceed tonight. The Department of Meteorology have advised that damaging wind gusts are no longer expected.
As a special thank you to Ballarat, POWDERFINGER and SILVERCHAIR have announced that they will be going ahead with a joint encore tonight. This will only be the 2nd time they’ve performed such an encore in a regional centre on this tour.
All tickets issued will be valid for the rescheduled performance tonight and tickets will still be on sale at the door. Should any tickets holders not be able to join the bands at the show tonight, there are still limited tickets available for the Melbourne shows at Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Ticket holders who are unable to join the bands tonight or in Melbourne should arrange for a refund from their point of sale. Refunds will only be available until close of business on Monday, 24 September.
The Across the Great Divide tour moves on to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena tomorrow and Wednesday nights.
