SILVERCHAIR WIN EG AWARD
The Age newspaper in Melbourne held it’s now annual EG Award ceremony at St Kilda’s Prince Bandroom last Friday. Silverchair were awarded the gong for Best Single “Straight Lines” and Best Album “Young Modern”.
The band had this to say “This just goes to prove that people who read The Age have great taste in music.”

ACROSS THE GREAT DIVIDE SPECIAL ON SATURDAY NIGHT
The Across The Great Divide DVD is in stores now and you can catch a sneak peek of the highlights this Saturday 8th December at 9.30pm when Channel Ten screen a special one-hour Across The Great Divide feature which will be replayed during Video Hits on Sunday 16th at 10.30am.

"YOUNG MODERN" VINYL ORDERS HAVE BEEN DESPATCHED
All pre-ordered stocks of the vinyl Young Modern have now been despatched. Australians should receive their copies next week, but people outside of Australia should wait several weeks, depending on their mail service. There will be no more additional stocks of this item as far as we are aware.

SOUTH AMERICAN FANS PETITON TO SEE SILVERCHAIR LIVE
A couple of weeks ago chairpage was made aware of a series of
petitions South American fans have created in the hope of seeing
Silverchair perform there live. This started a ground swell of interest
across the Internet and on local media.

"YOUNG MODERN" VINYL PROGRESS
Hooray!!! The Young Modern vinyl has finally left the factory and is en route to the LAS ready for us to package and post. We will be endeavouring to despatch NEXT WEEK to all those people who have pre-ordered.
Just a reminder that we were only allocated enough stock to satisfy the pre-orders and unfortunately we have none remaining.

SILVERCHAIR AND POWDERFINGER MUSIC COLLABORATION
While on their recent “Across The Great Divide Tour” Silverchair and Powderfinger did a bit of music collaborating. You can have a listen to a snippet of the new “Powderchair” song by downloading the free ringtone. The story behind the collaboration is revealed in the candid 90 minute documentary film included in the triple disc Across the Great Divide DVD that’s out December 1.
