chairpage.com has a long standing and highly regarded tradition where
people send in their experiences from attended Silverchair shows. We
call them Road Reports and post them, unedited, to chairpage for everyone to read.
Unfortunately very few Road Reports for the recent Big Day Out tour have been received. If you have attended any of these
shows please tell us all about it by writing a review and sending it to
us. Include if you can anything that happened at the show "out of the
ordinary", anything humourous or simply what impacted you the most.

LAST WEEK!! FAN CLUB STORE PROGRESSIVE SALE (WEEK 8 of 8)
UPDATE - ALL CELLS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT.
The LAS (Silverchair's Official Fan Club) moved into the last week of its first ever progressive sale. As such their beautifully framed limited edition cells from the “Reflections of a Sound” video have been reduced by a further TEN DOLLARS to $100!!! (a massive $100 off the original price - WOW!). There will be no further price reductions. This is also the very last week that one lucky purchaser will have the opportunity to be selected at random to receive one FREAKBOX that has been personally signed by the band!!

CHAIR GET HOT
Silverchair have had the strongest showing of their entire career with "Straight Lines" making it to #2 on Triple J's Hottest 100 poll missing out on #1 by a mere 13 votes of the 700,000+ votes cast! The national youth broadcaster's annual list of their listeners' favourite songs of the year was announced today and is always a highlight for Australian music fans.
The great result for "Straight Lines" eclipsed every other Silverchair track. Previous highlights included "Tomorrow" (#5 in 1994), "Freak" (#13 in 1997), "Ana's Song" (#15 in 1999) and "The Greatest View" (#10 in 2002).
Daniel Johns was interviewed live on Triple J to accompany the announcement and expressed his sincere thanks to everyone who had voted for Silverchair in this year's poll.

Triple J Hottest 100
The count down to the Hottest 100 songs of 2007 is happening on Australia Day - Saturday January 26. All of Australia will be listening from 10am eastern time (earlier in central and western states – it’s live around the country) as the songs are counted down from 100 to NUMBER ONE! The hottest song of all! Have you got your Hottest 100 party ready? What number will your favorite Silverchair songs be? Tune in!
If you live outside Australia don’t despair. Triple J streams live over the Internet so you won’t miss out!

“The Greatest View”
Silverchair’s resurgence in the U.S continues with radio across the country adding “The Greatest View” to rotation. This week the song entered the U.S airplay charts in the Top 40. In the wake of “Straight Lines” strong U.S. showing it seems many in the media are seizing the chance to revisit this song.

RECONCILIATION AUSTRALIA
The ‘Across The Great Divide’ tour recently saw Silverchair and Powderfinger join Reconciliation Australia in promoting a new community conversation about reconciliation.
High profile and everyday Australians can be found talking frankly about reconciliation online at reconcile.org.au. Included on the site is a piece written by Daniel which can be viewed here.

ROLLING STONE
Have you feasted your eyes on a copy of the special Yearbook edition of Rolling Stone yet?
Silverchair share the cover with some pretty awesome company, they sit rather nicely wedged between AC/DC and Midnight Oil.
Inside is a great backstage photo feature on all the happenings of the recent Across The Great Divide Tour. “Straight Lines” makes it to #2 on the 100 Best Songs of the Year list and for the album charts “Young Modern” is at #3.

TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL
OzFlix is a showcase of Australian films and documentaries that screen in Toronto and Vancouver. The Silverchair Diorama documentary “The Story Behind the Album” has been selected to screen as part of the festival!So if you live in or near Toronto & Vancouver be sure to keep an eye out for details! The festival heads to Toronto on February 22nd and to Vancouver on April 4th.
