AUSSIE TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED SOON
There will be a announcement made next Tuesday, June 12, for a huge aussie tour scheduled for later this year. We'll have the full schedule along with ticket purchase info.

SILVERCHAIR SIGN WITH WARNER MUSIC GROUP'S INDEPENDENT LABEL GROUP (ILG)
Silverchair have signed with Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group to release their fifth studio album, Young Modern, in North America on July 24th 2007. The album will come out on Eleven: a music company, in association with Warner Music Group.
The band is already confirmed for a mainstage appearance on Lollapalooza on Saturday August 4th in Chicago but they also have plans for a full North American tour this July and August. Dates will be announced shortly. While they played a handful of acclaimed, sold out shows in New York, LA and Toronto earlier this year, the forthcoming dates will be their first full tour of the U.S. and Canada since 1999.
Young Modern is the fastest seller of Silverchair's career having been certified double platinum in less than a month.

SILVERCHAIR'S ONE NIGHT STAND / SILVERCHAIR ON JTV
You can view a sneak peak of Silverchair's performance at the recent Triple J “One Night Stand” show in Cowra, N.S.W. JTV's website has footage of "Young Modern Station" - the killer opening track from the #1 album "Young Modern". You can also check out the guys being interviewed on JTV as well!
The concert will be broadcast in full on the ABC network in July. We will supply more details as they come to hand!

JACK AWARD WINNERS
2007 Jack Awards were held at Sydney’s Luna Park last night. We are more than chuffed to report that Silverchair were winners!
On the back of Silverchair’s fifth #1 album “Young Modern” Daniel Johns was crowned “Best Male Performer” and Ben Gillies took home the award for “Best Drummer”. Both accepted their awards via video link up. Silverchair are currently on location shooting a film clip for their next single from “Young Modern”.

CHAIR ON THE BOX
Be sure to tune into JTV on the ABC network this Friday (11pm AEST) and Saturday (9am AEST). This will be your chance to see the 'chair's live performance at the recent “One Night Stand” gig held in Cowra.
There's also a "Silverchair Special" on ABC's Rage following the show that starts at 11.05pm. For more info. check out Rage's website.
