For some reason, I find it very hard to listen to Diorama anymore. I tried to listen to it last night, skipping pretty much every single song, having to change to a different album.

I used to be madly in love with Diorama, but now I listen to it and it sounds really "overproduced" and the sound of all the instruments is too clean and safe sounding, there is no 'punch' in any of the guitar driven parts. It all stays at the same level, I feel anyway.

But it's sad, because I know how much I used to be able to endlessly listen to Diorama, but now it's impossible to. Is anybody else suffering from this? I think it's because I feel it sounds very overproduced and overdone, but maybe i've just listened to it one too many times and it's just overheard.

I'm pretty sure last year i didn't listen to diorama more than about five times, I went through a big neon ballroom stage around winter though.

About a month ago i listened to diorama for like a week straight and now i'm back to square one. Hahaha

You may not like it more than other albums but it is the best album, no body should deny that. I don't like the Beatles music but I realise that they were an amazing band who produced amazing albums.

Thats just stupid. There is no official best album or worst album, it just depends on your taste in music. Someone may state that frogstomp is the best and you may state diorama is the best. None of you are more correct than each other.

Diorama is far more musically advanced. You may like frogstomp better, so what, but Diorama is more advanced and so forth, hence it is better (could of worded that better bet fuck it)

I think you need to put a bit of thought into what you're saying. First of all, since when is something being more "advanced" better? Also, what you consider advanced is something subjective. Music is a personal thing. There's no such thing as better. Officialy anyway. Just different. It may exist in your mind, but at the end of the day all music is is sound. And how can one type of sound be better than another? These are just things you make up as you go along. On the other hand, I have no problem with people refering to an album as their favourite or the one they prefer.

Diorama is brilliant. It's up there with "Freak Show" as my fav Chair album. :D

I like NB better, but Diorama is amazing, and thats what is undeniable.
