i had been at my mum's the past few months soi didn't have acess to the internet. A couple of days ago I posted a message on his facebook profile, it said "long time, no speak". Because it felt weird that we hadn't spoken for like a month. Today one of his teachers reached me and told me the news that my dear friend had passed away. I'm still in shock, that's something you don't wanna hear on your birthday.

Mitch and I met when we were 15 at the silverchair.nu forum, since then, we were very close, i would say he was one of my closest friends, tho we never met in real life, not in the 8 years i had the pleasure to know him. We were planning on meeting during a summer, to go backpacking to Peru and meet there, we both had been there in the past but not at the same time.

He taught me so many things about life, you know, the way he thought you were supposed to live it, the "omega" way. Mitch was someone who was never afraid to speak his mind, and he would always make time to speak to his friends when we needed him. To think that I'll never be able to speak to him again is just devastating. I've spent good part of today crying, but knowing him like I did, I know he'd be angry at me for crying this much, because it is my birthday and he would have loved to be here today and celebrate with me, so that is what I'm going to do, I'll celebrate and think of my friend, and try to live life the way he would have wanted me to, seizing every moment.

I'm gonna miss you, Michel.
