where in that article does it say ben is working on his own project? all i see it say is that he's on twitter. by the way, according to his friend on twitter, ben was in the studio last night playing violin... i still am hopeful this is for something sc related

I wonder if "music for the right reasons" means they've made up their minds about silverchair's direction and are not going to put out an album of emotionless singles with zero feeling a la Young Modern?
Daniel went from really focusing on his words on NB and Diorama to saying "I hate writing lyrics so I leave it till the last minute" for YM. That album did not connect with me at all, and not because it's not rockin.
I really hope they did some soul-searching and are going to put out an honest and sincere record this time.

Sounds to me like benny boy is being a little sarcastic here, and actually referred to silverchair as something that values music for the wrong reasons. Maybe he's moving to LA to start something brand new, you know, those band things that put out albums from time to time.

I believe Ben is doing a solo album. Not only because of the article that mentioned so, but has anyone else noticed his profile picture on Twitter that has the title of something like "Band member / Solo artist"?

It has been almost a year since we've heard anything about the new album. I think it (and maybe Silverchar) got canned.
