There are two cities where I live that have decent hardcore scene (Minor threat/Punch/Dropdead type bands) and most of them are vegan straight edge hardcore. There are 2 feminist bands as well, a few Earth Crisis type bands...its really nice. The Earth Crisis types aren't absolute cock heads either.

Uh, yeah. I think that's my problem. I like the lifestyle, but HATE that type of music. Obviously I'm into Silverchair, I also enjoy NIN, The Killers, British India, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Beatles, Muse.............well you get the idea.

Well, the aim is to never become really sick. I don't know about other people, but I'm hesitant to use anything that may have potentially been tested on animals. I want to live well, but I don't want my comfort to be at the expense of others suffering.

I've chosen not to take drugs (and I know this sounds cheesy) because I believe that I will evolve better as an individual when I am clear minded. I also have better things to spend my money on than drugs and alcohol.
Not to mention I'd rather be old when I become forgetful, rather than young. I've had the misfortune I knowing a habitual marijuana smoker, and an alcoholic, both had terrible memories.

This is where I stand, I can not speak for other straight edgers.
