Wow, Dream Theater was that expensive there?!?! It's usually around $25 US here. That's just crazy. Then again, they're charging around $95 for Rush, which is why I'm not going. The economy hasn't improved THAT much.

Its a lot of money to pay, but I don't usually spend money on much, so going to concerts is like a treat for myself, plus, I'm ok financially to afford to go every now and then, but I definitely limit how many concerts I go to.

I really want to see Muse, I'm just getting into them- albeit a little ass backwards, albums wise I'm all over the place, lol.
What order do I listen to the albums in? Or should I just dive in?

What music got you into them? Because they're all over the map. I mean that in a good way. But really, if you like what you've been hearing on the radio, I'd say go backwards with their albums... If you like their heavier stuff, go earlier, Origin of Symmetry. An all round great place to start would probably be Absolution... Or HAARP, such a fucking wicked live album. And the DVD is just unreal. :)

Dammit, now I want to watch HAARP, and it's not here. :?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Go to their website, muse.mu and become a registered user. It's free... And once you are you can listen to all their music to your heart's content, and watch all their DVDs. :) ALL. It's quite amazing... B-sides, live stuff, etc.

Most of the songs that got me into Muse were on Absolution, their 3rd album. But Showbiz, is my favourite song of theirs, and probably one of the first ones I'd heard, and that's on their first album, Showbiz.

It doesn't really matter which albums you listen to first, but I'd probably start with something more familiar like Black Holes & Revelations or Absolution, and then go from their to the 1st album, and then listen to em in the correct order.

CyRuS wrote:GOT MY MUSE TICKET! Only seating though.

*vent coming*

FUCKING TICKETEK!! I was logged in 1 hour before the sale started for Sydney, logged in on two computers. 5 minutes to 9am comes, so my friend and I start refreshing the pages, suddenly one of the computers shows "get tickets", the other one is straight away put in a queue. So we click on Get Tickets, click on GA/mosh tix, says "Unable to obtain tickets... these tickets are currently being processed etc etc" so we keep trying, the other computer puts me through, asks me to log back in, I'm getting frustrated as. So I'm like "I'll get the phone number and try calling in to Ticketek... couldn't find it ANYWHERE!!! So all this drama with ticketek continues, until, 10 minutes after the sale started, "GA tickets - Allocation Exhausted" I was so pissed off.

Seriously, if there is an IP Address logged in that early before the sale, it should be put through before other people start logging in. So I had to settle for seating. Section 8 of Acer Arena. Not a bad spot, but would've preferred mosh. At least I'm going I guess. I was thinking about getting mosh tickets to the 2nd show aswell, but didn't wanna go alone.

Yeah I did a similar thing.. got in to get tickets in 5 mins.. and all that was left for Melbourne was silver restricted view. I was like screw it I'm not paying $130 for a restricted view.

Muse have Absolution, and Silverchair have Diorama. Just think of it like that. It's the best album to get into them, plus the best album of theirs overall really. Black holes was slightly more commercial, and Resistance even more... It's a bit hit or miss on the newer albums.

I'm going to see them at Sydney with my gf :)

My mum and sister and her bf are going too, ha ha,

Matt and Kate Hudson?! I don't usually keep up with the whole who's doing who thing, but I thought he was engaged to some woman in Italy! Boy, Kate really gets around with musicians.

The name of our hotel in Napa was Gaia! That's odd.

I don't think Kate Hudson knows exactly who she's dating on any given day. I now I couldn't keep track of it if I were her! What strange tastes too. How do you go from Chris Robinson, to Owen Wilson, to A-Rod to Matt Bellamy. They couldn't be more different.

Hmm...wonder if they'll still be together by the time I see Muse here in SoCal in late September. I shan't lose any sleep over it
