YAY ANIMATRONICS! that's like my favourite thing in the WORLD! ESPECIALLY when they malfunction!!!! I give that five thumbs up!! I love the "uncanney valley" effect.

not really related, but anyone who likes being creeped out by robots (basically only me I guess) needs to watch Lou Reed's video for 'no money down': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMIgZmmO1c4

note: you have to watch the WHOLE THING.

I'm reading:

Standard of Honour by Jack Whyte - second book in the Knights Templar trilogy. As a series I'm not liking it as much as his Arthurian series, but it's hard to live up to. It's good though. Similar in that he takes history and myth and blends them together.

Forty Years in Canada by Jack Whyte - it's his memoir. I found out about it online when I was looking for release dates for the first book in his new series on Scottish heroes. He was born in Scotland but came to Canada in 1967. Interesting to get his perspective. :)

Life, the Universe, and Everything by Douglas Adams - haven't started it yet, but excited for the silliness. :)

Awesome. 8)

I'm reading Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan. An amazing book written by an amazing human being. Seriously, the first chapter should be read by everyone in the world, maybe then it would be a better place....

Man And His Symbols by Carl G. Jung...can't say I'm really enjoying his take on things so far. I've also been getting more and more into Japanese short stories.

just finished book 10 in the sookie stackhouse series called "death in the family." i think, though there are so many books in this series, that this is my favorite so far. i read all 308 pages in 5 hours. i could not put it down. that's got to be a record for me, even though i read a new book every couple of days. well done, charlaine harris, well done! i guess i'll have to watch the new season of true blood when it comes on this month to subside me til the next book...although the books are different from the show, i like it in small doses.

i adore these books so much so that i actually buy the hardbacks when they come out because i am too damn impatient to wait for the paperback! and i don't do that for just any books! ;)

they are very easy reads btw. i usually can read one in two days...though i read book 10 in only 5 hours (i could NOT put it down!) it's not that they are short but they just don't lag...there's always something happening...ALWAYS

 I watched the first season before I read the books, so I was okay. Book Eric was better when I read the books... But ASkars is soooo smokin' I couldn't help but love him. I hope they follow the books with his character, though. He's so much better than Bill. :D
