Oh that's right, he was a Scorpio. No wonder I liked him so much. (And there was the fact that he was a gorgeous musician with this little album called Grace.)
Q. How many indie music fans does it take to change a lightbulb?

He was in my thoughts on his b-day :(

Ahhh yes, I can remember long ago when I discovered his gorgeous face on the cover of Grace

There's an exhibition in Melbourne soon that's got loads of rare photos of Sir Buckley. And it's free! Woohoo! :D

I never knew about this, but the other day I found a Jeff Buckley biography by Jeff Apter (A New Tomorrow). I think its just been released recently. Anyway, its called "A Pure Drop".

I have this book, I'm finding it a chore to read. It was published in 2008.

I have issues with his writing style, repetitive use of certain words, constant "sidetracking", the Rolling-Stone-journalist way of namedropping, and cramming useless facts into every paragraph. I get really bogged down in the book. I normally find reading enjoyable, but this book is difficult to get through. I'm on the verge of giving up and I'm only about eighty pages in. And being a massive JB fan, this really annoys me!

If you've read David Browne's biography of Jeff and Tim Buckley, you would probably agree that it was a great read - entertaining and interesting and the words flowed naturally.

Just bought Grace Around the World dvd/cd package today. We're listening to the cd right now, while Mr. thieving is making one of his pizzas. :P So far, it's really an awesome collection of his live stuff. I can't wait to see the dvd later.

Listening to So Real, I somehow wonder if that might be the direction Daniel takes with some of the songs on the new SC album. Really deep, kind of experimental, off-tempo stuff with really killer melodies. Would be quite sweet if he did. 8)

No I wouldn't recommend it. I bought it because I like collecting things on my favourite musicians, and I will probably keep the book for that reason. Apter quotes/references David Browne's book quite a lot.

No I haven't read "Dream Brother". I want to get it though. Maybe it'll be worth to read Jeff Apter's book and then read Dream Brother.

So I almost vomited the other day when I read that the two actors in contention to play Jeff Buckley in his biopic are James Franco, and... ROBERT PATTINSON!

WHAT. THE. FUCK! As if James Franco wouldn't just get it from the beginning. He's a great actor, looks just like Jeff Buckley, and isn't a teenie bopper's wet dream! They said Robert Pattinson "can sing", and no doubt, his current fame among preschool girls has also probably made the producers want him, because that way, a Jeff Buckley film will be popular among teenagers... which to me is a bad thing, because it means it'll be turned into another stupid love-comedy-tragedy, and won't hold near as much the truth as it will entertainment.

BUT, good thing, some lady off the Jeff Buckley website who's involved in the filmmaking has said they're gonna work in close proximity with Jeff's bandmates, friends and family, to make sure nothing is false, and there's nothing left out.
