Can anyone decipher these lyrics? Is there an underlying meaning or is it not supposed to make sense?

I always figured since the song is "If You Keep Losing Sleep", random gibberish made perfect sense............because if you've ever gone loads of time without sleep (I've had insomnia issues since I was a child), then you understand sleepless nights and gibberish talk PERFECTLY, lmao.....

I've read in interviews and articles about Daniel, talking about how he had many sleepless nights while writing songs, and with titles like "Insomnia" and "If You Keep Losing Sleep".....I'll take his word for it, lol

So maybe my interpretation of it being sleep deprived gibberish is just one insomniac mind understanding another?

hell, am I making sense now?

hhhmmm, maybe you need to get yourself some sleep

i think you are right!!!!
I love Marty.

"To be reborn, not born again, erase my regret from the start"

"Life has a deadline lately"

"He's been beaten
Might have brought it on himself
So he stopped reading
Every book on mental health"

i love these lyrics, i think because i relate to all of them

I read an interview with Dan in RockSound magazine where he was talking about insomnia and trouble sleeping...he said at one point the album was going to be called A Tribute To Sleep....just thought I'd share the trivia...

Those thieving birds
Hang strung from an empty nest

I think of loss and sadness? anyone else think so?
[pay them with love, cause money is hollow.. ]

It's a hard decision...but probably:

"This swan plagued pond, forsaken an underwhelmed."

"Those Thieving Birds" is one of my favourites :)

Sssssshot the model!
Flakin' temporary skin,
You're no burdahhhan, you're no burden...

I'll wait, so long,
But now my head is full of pressure!
I need time, to cure my mind,
It's like a loop that last forever...

If the object was clear, there wouldn't be a point
Only Godless fear,
By the end of July,
I wonder will I still feel so low?

And technically this one isn't on the album, but I love how suggestive it is...
I'm in the secret cellar,
You're becoming Barbarella!
I dunno why, I dunno when, I dunno where to get up!
So stay around, I'll tell you secrets in the night...
