well, if the austin date falls through (or take too much longer), there's certainly a possibility of that. i need to buy plane tickets somewhere before prices start going up! do you think houston or new orleans will sell out quickly? i'm wondering how long i can wait to decide.

I don't know how popular Silverchair is in Texas, so I couldn't say if they'd sell out quickly or not...I just got tired of waiting, we have the money now and didn't want to chance it so we just decided to go for the Houston date.

Already found decent airline tickets from LA to Houston and Houston back to Tampa...also found a really nice hotel in downtown houston near the venue...I'm happy, I can relax now :D

I can't :( I'm still waiting for Austin info. This is getting way to annoying.

Hey smeep, what's Houston like...have you ever been there? Do you know of any interesting things to do or see??

I'm sorry :( Have you been calling the Austin venue or Direct Events? I can't believe it's taking them so long to announce the ticket sale date...it got too annoying for me

how long do you think you'll wait for news? i'm about to either jump ship like blankfrank or else scrap the whole plan and wait for 2008. are you working on a plan b too?

Yeah, but I'll go by really fast! Our first show is only a month and a half away on the 14th :D

We found really affordable flights out of LA and also from Houston back to Florida...and the hotel we found in Houston is only 4 or 5 blocks from the venue.

I've never been to Houston, but I know it's fat and polluted. I think it's like the #1 overweight city in the US.

Ok, I could've done without that bit of info about Houston

Think we'll just hang around the downtown area, at least there are tons of shops and restaurants close to the hotel...besides, I'm only there to see Silverchair. To be honest, I've never even considered visiting Texas before, we're looking forward to going back to California...can't wait to see San Francisco!

hahaha yeah Texas isn't all that interesting. Well, Austin is...but nothing else, really. Mind you I was born and raised in Texas. But I have hippie parents, so of course I manage to not be ruined by your stereotypical Big Texas crap. lol

It's never looked interesting to me (no offense to Texans) but like I said, I'm only there for the show...I'll just make the best of what Houston has to offer...if anything we can just hang out on the rooftop pool drinking all day

EXCUSE ME?! :P I'm in Dallas. :D

er... umm....

nah, i was only joking. Dallas is nice. my cousins live there but it's just.... not my kind of place. i grew up in Del Rio and Houston aka where the chair haven't performed live since buzzfest 1997. which was so much fun when Daniel kept enticing the people on the hill at the woodlands pavillion to start and maintain fires (and they listened!)
