Love love love this song.

And this makes a lot of sense to me--

I agree guitar solo=sex.

Just a thought, could he be asking himself the line "Do you feel the same anyway" in response to being a rock star at 17 but still being tragically depressed, with the "now you've come" possibly referring to his growing fame. The whole song being about himself in both first and third persons.
I could easily be off base here, but its an idea...

I know this is weird, but I always heard the lyrics as

"Could I be red if I was see-through/Or would you just read my spine"

As if to say.. 'Do I have blood, or am I empty, just a skeleton?'

I know those are the wrong lyrics, but it's how I initially heard it.
