That's great man!

I'm gonna see PAUL MCCARTNEY next month, I'll go with a VIP ticket, which means I can go to the concert a short time before it starts (not 5 hours).

PORRA EU NÃO ACREDITO! eu queria TANTO ir!! buááá
ok. I had to say it in portuguese first.... "Fuck it! I cant believe it! I wanted to go to this concert soo much!!"

Paul was never my fave beatle (go ahead and shoot me), but he's a beatle nonetheless and it's my fave band so can you imagine how hard it is to say no to it? 520 bucks to actually see him. 140 bucks to watch 'screen' Paul, so... to see him from such distance, I'd rather buy a DVD. Cheaper. Sad, but cheaper.

I shouldn't post it on the good mood thread hahah

It's really expensive but well I don't know if he will ever go to Porto Alegre again. My favourite Beatle is George Harrison ehhehhe but well, the Beatles is one of my favourite bands and they will always be part of history :D

I went to the doctor today and it turns out that I do indeed have a ripped muscle in my stomach. THAT BEING SAID, and as much as it sucks, I'm so grateful right now that it wasn't anything worse. I could have ruptured something or had a hernia of some sort. I'm glad that it looks like it could heal quickly too. I have to take it easy and not lift anything for about two more weeks. The tear is apparently enough that it COULD turn into a hernia if I don't relax and really watch myself, so while there are negatives, it's a LOT more positive than I expected it all to be today. Or feared, rather. I guess I was kind of expecting the worst because I've been in a lot of pain this last week. Oh well, that is still there but I know what it is and it's under control now. It definitely brightened my day a little. :)

That's great news Krissy! So glad it's not more serious.

Very jealous of you mad_man. Paul has been to our area a few times over the past 10 years or so and I've never made it to see him. A few years ago, one of the owners of the company I work for had two tickets that were 12th row or something. I think it was for the Space Between Us tour. He couldn't go, so he was selling them for $250 each. That was so much less then they originally sold for. I don't know why I didn't buy them. I guess I figured he'd come around again. He has, but I've never had another opportunity for great seats at that price again. :?

If you guys are big fans of George Harrison's, you should see the Love show in Vegas by Cirque du Soleil, if you ever travel there. It's absolutely amazing! It was George's pet project before he passed away. He never got to see the show open unfortunately. We went to it about 3 weeks after it premiered in 2006 and were totally blown away. If I had money for the flight, I would fly all the way back to Vegas just to see that show again.

Actually, I haven't listened to the Love cd in quite a while. I think I'll pop that in and enjoy it for a while. The new arrangements that George Martin and his son, Giles, produced from the old recordings are brilliant.

Mad_man and Reino - Nice! Nothing like a good concert to look forward to lift your spirits!!! I always try to have at least 2 concerts I'm going to in the future.

Krissy - Ahh...the bliss of knowledge! I'm so happy it wasn't more serious and I'm sure it's easier for you to relax and take care of yourself now that you know what it is (it's usually that way for me at least)! So take care and get better!!!

I'm happy that my sisters bachelorette party (which I put together alone - bigger job than you'd think) went perfect and that she loved it. She had said she didn't want one, but I kept trying to tell her that it didn't have to be the traditional kind where she would be in the centre of attention all the time and doing lots of ridiculous stuff. It was just about doing something she really likes - and seeing all her girlfriends. In the end she gave in, and it ended up being the perfect day with lots of champagne :-)
She has told me so many times the past week how happy she is that I didn't listen to her! It's just great to be able to make my sis happy!

My situation is somehow similar, like...I cannot see with my left eye BUT knowing that it was seriously injured, it makes me happy that I might be able to see after 2 surgeries (which will be scheduled for the end of the year), doctors say I am very lucky to have the eyeball cos usually the kind of injury I have results on removal of the eyeball, and now there's even the possibility of recovering the vision.

Re: the good mood thread

Postby DonCarlos » Fri Oct 15, 2010 10:58 am

Tomorrow I'm heading to Toronto to spend a weekend with my 3 best friends. I met them when we were 5, 8 and 10 and we've been best friends since we were around 13. This will be the first time that we've been able to hang out without kids, wives and girlfriends in about 3 years. All of our families are friends too, but it's just a different vibe when it's just the guys, and we need that once in a while.

Convention seems...an easier path.
