Been nearly a year or so, but when i'm bored i sometimes read random old threads on Chairpage and forgot about this one. Recently i haven't been so much amazingly drunk or high buuut, when i was with Aymie we visited a few bars one night. The first was a very redneck type bar, which we had some sort of blue cocktail in (the name of which escapes me)... feeling unwelcome we escaped in 20 minutes after consuming the pitcher. Then we found ourselves at the BAR OF THE NIGHT called 'Cool Daddy's', there was a fantastically nice atmosphere, a kind bartender and good live music.
It was in this place we consumed martinis (okay i had the girly 'cherry' flavour and aymie i think had a neat martini... not certain of that, though she'll correct me if wrong). Eventually we got talking to another drinker noticing how familar he man was, after a while it hit me that he looked exactly like one of my best friends. Thinking the same thing me and Aymie were about to turn to each other to say how identical they were... and then he mentioned his name. They had the same name. (dubbed him 'American Jeph')

SO, we went to check out other bars, namely looking for a British one. After some walking we found one but it was more of a sports bar than anything else, so we trekked back stopping off at another place along the way. This place felt less welcoming than the first bar, we asked for 'Jagerbombs'... what we got was Jager and energy drink in practically a shot glass (my first 'bomb', that wasn't actually a bomb hahaha). Despite this it was nice, before we left we checked the karaoke folder nearby to see if we recognized anything... there were 3 Silverchair songs in it.. Abuse me, Ana's Song and Tomorrow (i think).

Anyhoo, we escaped back to 'Cool Daddy's' comsuming more, attempting to find a gay bar (since i'd never been to one either, it was a night of firsts aha). After American Jeph gave us directions we set out in search for one, but saw they were shut so we hitched a lift home and grabbed a pizza near our hotel (which luckily for us the parlour was one night from shutting completely).

I didn't know there was a thread like that! All I can say is that my current life has turned to "sex, drugs and rock and roll" in all ways! Even the smaller things have connection to at least one of these. All I can say is that since I started to get involved with music (rock and roll), pleasure (sex and drugs) became as normal as eating and sleeping (sometimes you even lack one of these...or both), which has a really negative point, things get "too normal" and you end up desiring days that you want to spend with a child relative (in my case, my nephew and my niece) or stay at home entirely by yourself and watch a movie and play, read a book, cook, listen to albums, do excercises or play a video game. About the sex part, it is really good when you get it easily and with someone you like (not a girlfriend, I mean), even if you're a small musician... it's like, if you're good and good looking (I'm not saying this to sound cool, we can all look good and be good at something, I think), "groupies" or "fans" automatically start to get involved in your life, that's when fun mixes with reality and sometimes sex with these girls end up being as pleasent as playing GTAIV in a PS3. Drugs, well, I love marijuana and I must say I think culture is really prejudiced about it, cos it actually helps you a lot (if it is used correctly), I don't like alcohol very much cos it doen't allow you to concentrate, and LSD can bring you the best lessons in life and make you have the time of your life if you share it with someone you love - but you need to be aware it's only an effect, otherwise you can get yourself "fucked up". Rock and Roll (I would say music) is actually the only thing that doesn't become boring or "too normal", I will always enjoy the feeling of playing a rock song in a SG guitar, or singing like hell with all my guts, or playing a calm piano concerto that ends up with a melodic and epic outro. It's hard to say but living like that can drive you insane if you're too sweet to yourself.

All I can say is that I think this thread is "too cute", cos this lifestyle is too far from the reality that the media shows, the best example to get "close" to it is actually listening to 70s songs like "Misty Mountain Hop" from Led Zeppelin or "Sweat Leaf" by Black Sabbath, if you can understand bands like that, welcome!

So, I had a live interview in the 3rd biggest radio in my state with my band and we were so fucking high that we ended up acting really "weird" and wearing sunglasses to avoid being noticed (but...the bassplayer had a t-shirt with a drawing of a marijuana plant and the drummer with a picture of bob marley smoking pot - also, we can't fake the smell)! It was ok and funny cos it was like experience for them (ok so how do I get a good interview with rock musicians that come here fucking high)! The interview started and the interviewer said "so Michel, you know this region of the ABC radio do you?" and I was like "...yes and no..." and when she asked me how I compose I said "I like talking to philosophers and psychologists" and they were "you talk to psychologists?" and I was like "yeah, I'm not saying I have therapy, I'm talking about talking to psychologists" and one of the boys said "he's the only one who doesn't need a psychologist"! It was funny but at the same time we felt really bad about how crazy we were for the listeners...

gotta control myself, I promissed that I wouldn't smoke too much before the interview!
