Its very funny, and every time I've watched, I've noticed something new in the film that I hadn't seen before.

this was one of my favorite movies from last year. and i've noticed a lot of people i know absolutely hated it so when it comes to this movie i guess there's no in between? it was perfectly cast, m. cera is perfect as scott, and jason schwartzman was brilliant.

also, i liked tomorrow when the war began because i knew nothing about the books so i had no expectations.

saw animal kingdom. it fucking kicks ass. really. better than any hollywood thriller i've ever seen.

Going Postal on DVD. It's a new Discworld movie. Really good if you know the books by Terry Pratchett.

We just watched Metropia, which is a Swedish-made animated sci-fi movie. The animation is brilliant and very creepy. Many of the cast and crew are Swedish, but it's all spoken in English. Both Alexander and Stellan Skarsgard have major voice parts in it and Juliette Lewis has one of the main voice roles. It was very different and trippy. Alexander plays the part of the voice inside the main character's head, which is perfect for him with that whispery voice. I'm very interested in how the animation was done as it looked like they used real people's faces and then altered them. Think I'll go do some research on that now! :D

Pinnochio 964- Tetsuo was better, somehow it was less confusing, and less screaming. Last 30 minutes of the movie was like having a colicky baby in your lap.

Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer- Perfect slasher film, low budget but charming, all the actors were great, it wasn't even the cut version.

Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer part 2: NO. VERY VERY BAD.

A-Fucking-Men (Sounds Gay) Which makes me think of the funniest character Wallace! :)

Loved it in the cinema, loved it on dvd... nothing quite like this film since well, Edgar did Spaced and Shaun of the dead.

I still don't think Hot Fuzz was amazing... but had a few chuckles.

So, do you think if I loved Shaun of the Dead and, like you, just had a few chuckles for Hot Fuzz, I'd really love Spaced? Reason I ask is we have the series in our Netflix queue right now and I think it's coming soon. Hubby and I have never seen it. Haven't seen Scott Pilgrim yet either as I wasn't sure I'd like the comic book integration stuff, even if it's cool looking.

You two would love Spaced i'd say thievings! Hot Fuzz felt a lil watered down, maybe the characters were missing something too... i'm not too sure (or maybe its the amount of similar genre'd films to 'Hot Fuzz', whereas 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Spaced' are in a league of their own). Spaced has a fantastic cast, great plots and is well directed. I would advise watching it before Scott Pilgrim, i don't know why... i think seeing it and loving it myself helped me to understand Scott Pilgrim's style and jokes. I hope if/when you decide to see it you enjoy it![/color]

HELL YEAH I LIKE THEM, i loves them too. Yeah its too bad. Saw them a number of times and recorded a few sets of theirs. Nice guys, James is hilarious... i'm glad i got a ton of b-sides and live demos to hear otherwise i'd be ten times more sad at their end (just wish i got Chloe's sig on my album sleeve to get all of them). Do you like their other projects? well, adams... Entrepreneurs and Pre-Marital Sect?

Hell yeah! saw them, urm 3 times? only as a 3 piece though... Hell yeah! love BRS saw them in Southend last year 8) Yeah, the latter might be either a bootleg, or the version on their 'Swearings for art students' EP. I've got two versions of it. If you want you can PM your email to me and i'll zip all the songs i have of theirs to you.

(hehehe even got a poster at a gig from chloe! :O) I'd never thought for the life of me there would be another Elle fan on this board.

I've only recently got BRS first album 'box of secrets' and love it! how do you find their following albums? cause i'm thinking of getting them (just very fearful lately of getting bad albums haha).

On a related note, i want to see the King's speech.. can't go wrong with Geoffrey.
