Dear diary

Postby {mad_man} » Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:03 pm

I noticed that some people post about a whole day sometimes (usually in our "mood" threads) and I think it would be cool to have a thread for this (PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THIS THREAD ALREADY EXISTS COS I LOOKED FOR IT).

So! Today I woke up at 7:35 and I had to rush my way to university cos I was late for the bus (on my way to it I listened to Coldplay with my headphones). I have a boring but important class on fridays, it's a class with "tips" and stuff for doing the final papers and research, today the topic was interviews and plagiarism, we discussed about these topics and we had to provide solutions (e.g. how to avoid accidental plagiarism). Then I came back home and had lunch while watching my mom's Elton John DVD (live 2000), I went downtown to my dermatologist to have my scars checked and they were ok. Then I had time to spend downtown and I went to a gym to enrol for swimming classes, I went to supermarket with my parents and we talked about not important things. Then we came back home and I had toasts for dinner while I watched Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, I listened to Diorama loudly and sang along, then I played my electric guitar for 2 hours rehearsing the songs I am currently playing with my band, my brother came back from work and we talked about music and played guitars. Then I spent the rest of the day on the computer - msn with friends talking about music and drugs, youtube watching silverchair and wolfmother videos, this messageboard, and I also watched some porn stuff  ahhahhaahha, then I am here right now posting it and eating cookies)!

Let's go to bed at 5 AM (saying to myself)!
PS: I got really pissed with the drummer of my band cos I wrote a calm ballad and I think it's a great song, and he doesn't like it because it's "too calm"...

hey, neat thread idea! anything that lets me ramble about my day.. ;)

dear diary: today I woke up late, took the streetcar all over town trying to get ahold of the faculty of music registrar so I can finish up the university degree I bailed on 4 years ago, failed to reach her, went grocery shopping in my old neighbourhood while listening to Talk Show (that band STP made with another singer when they sorta fired Scott Weiland for being so messed up.. the record is good!), talked to my parents on the phone about whether or not they're going to put our elderly dog to sleep(nope!) when they go on their vacation to australia (so mad I can't come along!!), practiced saxophone, got all dressed up, went to my gig (got totally ass-kicked by the other sax player there but oh well), drank a bunch, came home with my boyfriend, now he's asleep & I'm drinking water (time to be sober!) and also eating cookies.

It is a neat idea! :)

Dear CP diary:

So far today I have gone to the bank for an appointment for a loan... Bought a creme brulee latte for me and a strawberry lemonade smoothie for my nephew, whom I am babysitting. Then we visited my sister-in-law's work for awhile. After that we went to a park and climbed, explored, and played Transformers. Then we went to another park. Might sound funny, but it was because my town was having its monthly Multicultural festival. :D We checked out all the booths, I bought him a cookie.... And a vanilla lavender cupcake... Then we had lunch there. We chose Polish and shared a sausage and pieorgies. :D Sooo good. As we ate we enjoyed some live Caribbean music. My nephew ate his cupcake, then we played some more at the "they" looked through the Sears Wish Book. And when I say looked through, I mean looked at the Transformers and Star Wars toys. Then we bought some sushi for my brother and came home. :D It sounds like when we pick up my sister-in-law at work we'll head back to the festival to get some Indian food for supper. :)

I'm glad you guys like the thread :)
and I'm glad to know you had a good time with your nephew mert, my nephew is only half a year old and I'm really looking forward to taking him out when he gets a little bit older. Kitteh please send us an audio or something of you playing sax, I would love to listen to it.

Dear diary, I woke up at 9:10 today and I didn't sleep well cos I went to bed too late and I had a crazy nightmare during my sleep. I went to my mandarim classes with my brother, I was so asleep and I couldn't concentrate that much but I learned some new vocabulary and structures. Then I came back home and had lunch with my family and I went to the studio to rehearse with my band, we invited an acquaintance to watch us play because he plays bass and he can substitute our current bass player (cos he's temporary), the first hour of rehearsing was PERFECT, certainly the best time we played so far since we started, I was singing in tune and I really made my guitar sound good today (cos I don't really like Marshall amps, I prefer Fender ones). Then the guy who was watching us play drove me back home with the drummer and we discussed about him joying the band and he's looking forward to playing with us, I showed him some songs I wrote with my piano and guitars and he said he really liked, we want to gather together on his studio (cos he owns one) and compose and rehearse for at least a whole day. Then they went away and I took a nap for 3 hours, I woke up and had dinner with my parents, since it was raining I didn't want to go out tonight, so I stayed home and I listened to my friend's solo project and also his current band (he's a genius, I fell in love with his music), I listened to some pink floyd and Vangelis (also Ian Brown) and I really felt like composing. So I played my piano and jammed, I recorded everything and overdubbed pianos and electric pianos and now I have an experimental crazy song of my own that I spent the whole night composing. I feel really tired cos composing is pleasent but it makes you feel really tired after you realize it took more than 4 hours. Good night guys, it's 5 AM :P

Probably not the best thread for most people but I really want to write here often even if you guys don't post, please tell me if you don't want it cos I don't want you to be mad at me ahhaha.

Dear diary, I woke up really early today but I didn't want to go to university cos I ate too much last night and I was feeling aweful, so I stayed in bed and woke up really late and had lunch while I watched the movie Gosford Park (I thought it was ok, but not as brilliant or as boring as most people had told me). I used msn for some time and talked with my friend with the microfone and webcam, we talked about music and sex for hours hours hours (also about food and about our ex girlfriends), I had my cup of cappuccino and took a long shower. Then I went downtown to my friend's birthday party at his apartment, our friends and my brother were there and we played video game (Test Drive Eve Of Destruction) but I am used to that game and no one could beat me (it felt good ahahha), then we had a looooooooooooooooot of whiskey and red wine, we got drunk and had pizza and then we talked and act silly for some time while listening to Scorpions. My friend drove me back home and here I am, see ya.

Dear Diary,

Daniel's new words today:

"Plait" (abbreviated from "s'il te plait")" "please?"
"Sortir" = "leave" or specifically, abreviated from "puis-je sortir?" or "can I get out?" - or more specifically, "get me out of this high chair!"
"Merci" = Thank you!

We're up to about 20-25 words - just wish he would use them all the time! :)

Convention seems...an easier path.

^^ definitely give it a few days. Dark colors like that soak into the hair a LOT at first, and after a few shampoos, it fades to the color you want. :D

 if it fades, it won't shown nothin' on my dark hair. when i cut some, i could see it in there though. oh well. probably best. i'm in a foul mood so i guess cutting and dying seemed appropriate. ha.

you'd probably have to strip your hair first then and color it whatever shade you wanted after that. :D I did that once and my hair turned out white. LOL
I love Marty.

*feels lucky to be a natural blonde* just because most colours I've dyed my hair have turned out somewhat close to what I've hoped.. except for when I let my friend (who is a professional hairdresser!!!) dye it... he always does whatever the fuck he wants, and I'm always too chicken to be like "errrr this is the opposite of what I asked for!" because he is terrifying.

dear CP diary: Sunday I painted my apartment some more and went to an STP concert which was GREAT, way better than I expected it to be given their history. Monday I did some errands, had a rehearsal, met up with a singer I work with to talk through our next gig, today I .. wtf did I do today? I think I need a day job. I did a bunch of unimportant errands and now I need to go to bed. fuck. I have some terrible gig later on today that I wouldn't do except it pays well and i don't have a REAL job so I have to do it. am in dark state. haha. sigh.

Dear CP Diary:

Today I did not get enough sleep: note to self, sleep more when on nights!!! :? But, on the other hand, I had a great day I would have otherwise slept through. My housemate and I went out to her family's farm and picked some granite up... She's making a border for a flower garden out of big hunks of granite. We got some absolutely gorgeous rocks! My back is sore and my right arm is seriously scratched up, but it's totally worth it.

Then we went home and I made supper out of a bunch of food from her dad's garden. My housemate barbecued some pork chops while I made a great tomato salad (made even tastier since I just guessed what would taste good together, and was right! ), cooked brussel sprouts with pecans, and then steamed some swiss chard. Yum.

Dear diary - Today I had a very "knowledge" day. I woke up late and I didn't go to university and my parents are still mad at me but I don't give a shit about it. So, I woke up late and had lunch while I was watching a documentary about World War II, then I read a chapter of the book "how to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie, I don't like these kinds of books but my friend told me to read it and I'm doing it but I'm not actually enjoying it (I'm probably not reading the whole book), then I played "Splinter Cell" in my PS2 for a long time and I played my new 12 string acoustic guitar. After that I went to my first swimming classes and I loved it a looooot, the teacher said I am a great student and that I learn very fast, I am still feeling very good about it, then I met with my parents and niece at the supermarket and we grocery shopped (I played with my niece a lot, I love her, she's 8 years old). We came back home and I had a slice of pizza and coke while I was watching Cheaper by the Dozen with my niece. I read some songs' lyrics I wrote when I was a teen and laughed about how silly they were and played my electric guitar, then I listened to the Flash Gordon's 1980 soundtrack by Queen, and here I am. See ya

PS: I changed my avatar to a picture of me.
