i, however, am appalled that i walked into the costume store and saw the same whore costumes for adult women in smaller sizes in the pre-teen department! yes, i want my 10yr old dressing up like a "naughty nurse" or "schoolgirl vixen." it had some brand name like "purely innocence" or something like that.

psh. no way, i will put up the good fight over that shit! i had to wait 23yrs to get whorey costumes for halloween! before that we had to make our own and they were never whorey!

I never see girls dressed as sluts. All I ever see are kiddies dressed as ghosts/pirates/princesses/gouls... etc.

Maybe I just live in a typical boring suburb, but Halloween is still pretty normal in my neck of the woods.

I just wish more kids showed up for Trick or Treating... parents don't trust people anymore, which I understand but it's sad. They all go to malls and crap now.

this is exactly what my boyfriend says! A lot of girls complain that the costumes are sexy and that you can't find a decent costume unless it's short and skanky. It's not just that the girl might not feel confident wearing a slutty costume.. either. Maybe it's not what you want.. why can't they make "normal" costumes?

bleah, I hear people complain about this all the time, and I say WHO CARES. I don't even agree anyway - yeah you'll see a lot of slutty outfits out there, but (at least in my city anyway, and I'm assuming all over the place) there are also a lot of really cool, creative homemade costumes.

It's a night for people to dress up as whatever, so -- whatever floats your boat I personally don't understand why people bother with the store bought options.. unless you're spending $$$, the quality is shit and you don't end up really looking like anything except someone in a crappy costume... but then again, I'll take that over not bothering to dress up. I make my costume every year. it's not always good, but it's always fairly unique

if I could make the rules, the only thing I'd change would be that everyone's costume has to be a little bit scary. be as slutty as you like, but.. like have an extra eyeball on the back of your neck or something.

this year, im hitting the good will and Salvation Army. Second-hand, baby. My party theme this year is zombies so my boyfriend and i are dressing up as gory trailer-trash, hillbilly, redneck zombies. I can't wait! I'm going to carry around a bottle of jack and a cigarette with a baby in one arm and one in the 'oven'. I might be barefoot.. or wear some tacky stripper shoes with clear heels LOL. Dave's going to wear a flannel.. stained up wife-beater and this great "POWERED BY HONDA" baseball cap with flames on it. I got it at the Good Will lol

oooh, you're having a zombie PARTY??!!??! sheesh. If I was sociable/nonlazy enough to have a party, that's what kind of party it would be. trailer trash zombies, I love it!! the baby/pregnancy = priceless. I once saw a girl dressed as a zombie with a "zombie miscarriage" dragging out from under her skirt. I was like !

this year I'm not going all-out thematically because the boyfriend wants to do a coordinated/rock 'n roll related costume, and "vampire zebra robot member of Devo with extra limbs".. I just don't feel that it would work properly with 2 of us. 5 of us, maybe.

anyway, so we're being a bit obvious and going as "zombie sid and nancy" not too far away from your costume in a way .. it'll be pretty simple to do with the clothes/wigs etc we already have.. he's going to have a fake needle sticking out of his neck, me a knife in the belly. and I'm gonna go nuts with the zombie makeup will for sure post pics. and you must post pictures too!

in fact, EVERYONE must dress up, and EVERYONE must post pics. new rule.

i was a wee bit disgusted to go to the big halloween store and everything was pretty much S&M barbie, S&M doctor, S&M munchkin, etc. then of course i picked the slutty devil that wasn't quite as slutty as the other slutty devils.

but yeah i totally hate seeing 13 year old girls wearing that sh*t. it just looks sooooo wrong.

I usually go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill and just walk around til something comes to me. So, I have no idea what I am going to be. But, I will post on here after I find out.
