I love everything that he creates musically. I feel like with every album; it gets better and better. I would hate for him to set the bar lower for himself artistically just to please the fans and make another Frogstomp or Freak Show.

I don't think we want another "grunge" album.
I'd like to listen a "Rock" album, that doesn't mean "grunge" or "heavy".

I'm a big fan of progressive Rock bands of 70's. King Crimson, Genesis, Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
They were so melodic.

A good example of Rock that is not "heavy" is the proyect called STORM CORROSION. This is a colaboration of Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth). This proyect almost doesn't have drums...but it's a Rock album.

hopefully some inspiration comes of this. written into a fully fledged heavy rock album! we need new and honest heavy rock to break up the bullshit thats prominent today. hard rock,and music in general,needs a swift kick in the ass and daniel (perhaps silverchair?) is just the guy to do it! rock on!

This would be a good time for them to reunite if you think about it. A lot of 90's artists are making a comeback now because music fans are realizing that era offers much more than modern music. I think Dan should just do a tour or two, and then think about writing again. Clearly, this five year experimental phase of his is churning out few breaths of life.
