Silverchair have announced their only two Australian shows until October will happen in Brisbane and Darwin in June. The shows will be followed by the band's first visit to Asia, playing in Manila Sunday June 22. From Manila the chair head to Europe to play several dates with the opening spot being filled by Aussie mates, Even.
Dates and venues for the two Australian shows are:
- Thursday June 19 - Brisbane Festival Hall (tickets $25)
- Friday June 20 - MGM Grand Casino Lawns, Darwin (tickets $22 in advance or $25 at the door)
Both shows are all ages and fully licenced. In Darwin tickets go on sale Friday May 16 and are available from the box office and Musicland city and Casuarina. In Brisbane tickets go on sale Friday May 23 and are available from the box office.
The band's album has just notched up thirteen weeks in the Top 10 in the Australian charts with the current single
Abuse Me recently certified gold. In the U.S. Freak Show has achieved gold status whilst globally
sales have surpassed 1¼ million.
